I've been answering loads of questions about my
Profit Power Influencer course so it's a
great time to share those FAQ with you in case you wanted the same information.
The end goal of the course is to get you into the Amazon Influencer program so that you can participate in the ONSITE COMMISSIONS program.
Those in that program make money from short videos they upload straight to Amazon product pages. If their
video was watched before a consumer buys the product, they make a commission.
Imagine getting commissions without having to send people to Amazon. You actually make commissions from people ALREADY ON AMAZON.
First, though, you have to become an Amazon Influencer and that requires you build up a social media profile that meets Amazon's
requirements as an Influencer.
That's the first part of this course and what I think it's important to understand is doing this part alone builds your first income stream!
If you build up 1k, 5k, 10k followers on YouTube or for your FB Reels or on Instagram or Twitter in the right kinds of niches you can make money from
that following whether or not you ever become an Influencer.
So, this course is about building one income stream that will lead into a second one because once you're an Amazon Influencer you have more tools available to you to make money ON Amazon including being able to build product lists on your Amazon profile and make commissions from those.
THEN, we want to focus on the Onsite Commissions program - yet another way to make commissions.
Q: Do I have to show my face in videos?
A: No, you do not need to show your face in the videos you make for social media nor
in the videos you make and share on Amazon as part of the Onsite Commissions program. ;)
Q: Do I have to use my voice in videos?
A: For some of your videos it might be helpful to include someone talking or explaining but it doesn't have to
be your voice. You could use a friend or family member to help you out.
Q: Do I have to buy products to review?
A. Not until you want to.
At first, you're going to be building a social
media profile that gets followers by making short videos.
Those videos aren't going to be about products. They're going to be about some niche or topic I'll help you choose as part of the course.
Only after you become part of the Amazon Influencer Onsite Commissions program will you need to create videos about products and even then I'll be
showing you a variety of ways you can create product videos for that program without buying anything until you're making money and WANT to buy products to review.
Q: Do I have to be an Amazon affiliate?
A: Yes, you will need to be an Amazon Associate. If you are already one,
great!
If you were an associate but your account was closed for inactivity or if you have never joined, that's not a problem.
Amazon's process is to automatically approve those who join and give them 180 days to make their first 3 sales.
You do need a URL to use
with your application but that can be a free website URL and some social media profiles can work.
If the sales aren't made in time, Amazon closes the account and invites you to reapply.
When you reapply, the 180 day clock starts all over again.
You can do this as
many times as needed until you've met the sales hurdle.
Q: Is this available in my country?
A: Whether or not this is available to you depends on the Amazon site to which you are an affiliate.
The
Influencer program is currently available as part of:
- Amazon.com (the US)
- Amazon.co.uk (the UK)
- Amazon.ca (Canada)
- Amazon.in (India)
The Onsite Commissions program is available for Amazon.com but there are rumors it may be expanding.
You will want to join the Amazon.com program at least to start and I'll cover how and when to do that for those who are not affiliates right now.
Q: Do I have to use social media?
A: Yes but you don't have to get overly social and you won't have to get personal or cross any boundaries that make you uncomfortable. You're in control of what you share.
Q:
Do I have to use my real name?
A: You do not need to publicly use your real name on your social media profile.
Q: What if I can't think of a topic for videos?
A: I've
got a ton of ideas, inspiration, and even a worksheet to help you figure out a topic for your videos that will grow a following on social media.
If you think there's nothing you could make videos about that would interest people, I'm going to be able to show you that's not true and help you find a great topic you're going to enjoy and that you'll find VERY easy to do!
Q: Do I need special video equipment?
A: No, just a cell phone that takes video.
