Oh my gosh - I'm FINALLY back home! And how I missed it! (It's just a bit unfortunate that I'm back in time for an excessive heat warning with 115+ F temperatures throughout the weekend but let's not focus on that....)
While getting myself up to date and settled again, I came across a new strategy guide that offers a wealth of information on how to set up a YouTube channel the RIGHT
WAY and use that channel to market just about anything.
I'm not a YouTube expert so if you are an advanced user this might be too beginner for you but if you have
any interest in tapping into YouTube as a ranking, traffic, and marketing source but have been afraid to try, then you've got to go through this course!
You can see the full
overview here:
>>>> You'll see how Adam was able to use one video
to promote a product created by someone else as an affiliate through JVZoo and make over $500 in just a couple of days. <<<<
You've bought products yourself! What if
you did a great review video and just threw in a link to your site or an affiliate link? You could do that kind of thing in about 10 minutes of work!
I bought this product
for several reasons - first, I know I need to do more with video. Second, my son is determined to be a YouTube rockstar some day. A gamer, of course...
I know nothing
about the seller so I made sure to go through all the videos to check the quality of the material. I think they're worthwhile and will be helpful and I think if you've ever entertained using YouTube to promote a site or product but have never tried then you'll love the value. PLUS there are NO UPSELLS! Once I purchased all I had to do was create my login and I got right to the videos (not even an email confirmation needed).
This course is about fully setting up your own YouTube channel from start to finish in just about ANY niche and how to use that channel to make money without requiring millions (or even thousands) of
subscribers. You don't have to be into a hot niche with tons of current interest. In fact, you could do a channel on dog grooming and do very well or you could use a YouTube channel to promote your own products and ecommerce business.
The course is entirely done by videos - a total of 35 videos that are all about 4 minutes in length so it's no more than two hours to get through everything. They are very well labeled so you can get through them at your own pace, get back to where you left off easily, and get right to the video you want as you're building your own channel.
It's done "over the shoulder" so you can watch as Adam sets up a channel making it easy for you to see what he's doing and how to do the same yourself.
One note: There are 10 videos in the module called "WordPress Wizardry" and a couple of them seem to have a placeholder like he never put in the actual video he intended. However, the ones that have to do specifically
with YouTube and WordPress ARE in place. It's just the ones about buying a domain and installing WordPress that aren't working but you probably have that kind of information elsewhere anyway.
This is NOT about doing those plain, vanilla slideshow videos. This is about how to build a channel using real videos you have to make about a topic (they can be screen recordings and not necessarily YOU in a video if you don't like that kind of thing - in which we'd have something in common).
WHAT'S COVERED:
- Choosing the right niche - focus on a niche you KNOW and I just brainstormed a ton of niche
options:
- Survivalists

- Computer How-To
- DIY

- Housecleaning
- Parenting
- Painting
- Sewing
- Crocheting
- Horses
- Model Cars
- Yard
work
- Cooking
- Baking
- Pie Making
- Darts

- How to validate your niche and topics for your videos. I like his method and this helps you see how much potential your channel will have before you jump into a niche.
- How to research
your target audience so you know exactly what videos to create
- Channel/niche research using a free resource that I hadn't heard before but has tons of information and statistics about top YouTubers.
- Branding - using a free resource (another I hadn't heard about!) to see if your domain name/channel name is already being used
- Ecommerce (an extra video for those who have ecommerce stores up and running) - the benefit of using the optimization tips for YouTube to promote your
store with YouTube even if you already have a channel
- Several methods for creating and verifying your channel (plus a recommended gig to have someone do the set up work for you, if you'd prefer)
- Recommended WordPress plugin for managing all your Google tags
- Handling FB pixel for tracking so you can do advertising through FB, too
- How to do
channel art using a free resource
- How to craft a search engine optimized description and where to put it so you can rank quickly
- How to build your
brand for new subscribers
- Connecting your WordPress site to your channel with annotations
- How to decide whether you should monetize your channel (allow ads,
etc)
- Creator Studio Tour
- Analytics Tour
- Adding watermarks
- The video editor and creative commons - finding music and sound effects inside YouTube's video editor, adding transition options inside the video editor
- Playlists
- Building your Channel with a schedule(secret link and vanity URL)
- Final tips (hint - there's a future video coming that covers additional advertising
options!)
It does NOT cover how to create your videos if you're going to do live shots of some activity using your own camera, nor what to put on your website to get people to an affiliate link if you're going to put the links on your site but it covers everything else.
So, if you hate writing and would much prefer video, have a site you'd love to promote using YouTube but don't know how to get started, want to know how to set up a YouTube
channel with the strongest search engine optimization for your niche and need someone to show you how, then you'll love the information inside.
You could be one of those people
who, when asked how they support themselves, says "I just video record things I'm doing anyway and share them on YouTube...". ;)
