After raving about the Perfect Post plug-in a few days ago I received several requests for a custom template that matches my Extreme Review outline. Play with something new, you say? Love to! (Okay, seriously - I was already building a template for my own sites anyway. Easy enough to share!)I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning and created the template and am making it available as a free download here:
The template
comes in a zip folder with instructions and 3 versions of the template:- One version for an outline with 3 custom subtitles
- One version for an outline with 4 custom subtitles
- One version for an
outline with 5 custom subtitles
Here's a demo review post I created with 4 custom subtitles (they still say SUBTITLE but the instructions will show you how to change that to your own titles):http://www.extremereviewer.com/extreme-review-perfect-post-test/
Everything you need to use this template right away is included. For each version of the template I've included the input fields code AND the template code. All you have to do is replace the default SUBTITLES with
your actual custom subtitles and follow the instructions to implement it on your site.
Again, this only works with the Pro version of the plug-in. Now, I realize the price went up from $12 to $17 (I didn't realize that was going to happen....) or more but it's still well worth it if you work with WordPress because of the Custom Template option.
If you didn't get the Pro version then go back here, download the free version and then choose the option to upgrade to Pro: http://www.extremereviewer.com/perfectpost/.
As I've been testing the plug-in and working on custom templates I realized this isn't just for Amazon. For custom templates you can define any set of inputs you want and then design the HTML layout to be applied.
Your inputs could be anything - text, subtitles, Clickbank product links, Walmart
affiliate links, WSO and JVZoo links, links to your own products, images, a ratings system, shortcodes, banner codes, and/or highlight boxes.
You could use this with any type of site. You could even use templates for Squidoo lenses you want to move to your own WordPress site.
Designing your own templates does require some HTML knowledge but using my free Extreme Review templates does not. The instructions (with images) will walk you through getting the template installed on your own review site.
I can't address all the different themes that exist for WordPress but I've tried to make the template as generic as possible to work with
any theme. If there are issues with appearance you'll have to tweak the code in the template file to work with your site. I tested with Flexsqueeze and the free version of Magazine Basic and both worked just fine.
Hope this helps more of you put Perfect Post Pro to good use right away!
Sincerely,
Erica Stone
