Imagine what an advantage you'd have in building your affiliate marketing site if your #1 competitor in that niche gave you all of their website data.
If you knew which keywords were bringing them the most traffic, had a list of all the keywords they were targeting, knew which posts were the most popular, and knew how many visitors they were getting to each post you would have a complete roadmap on how to dominate in that niche.
The same goes for social media profiles.
If you knew exactly which pins on Pinterest were outperforming all others in your niche, which keywords were being used by your competition on Pinterest, which keywords were used in the most popular boards in your niche, and even which promoted pins were getting the most activity you'd have everything you need to build a powerful Pinterest profile of your own.
That's basically what Dave Guindon has built...
...a tool that gives you the data you wish you had about every pin, promoted pin, keyword, niche, board, and profile on Pinterest:
He's just launched version 2. I bought it and have been testing it out for the past day and it's just reinforced my previous impression of him - he's a GENIUS.
We know that social media is an incredible source of traffic and of all the social media sites that work well for affiliate marketers Pinterest continues to be one of the strongest (and my personal favorite).
Pinterest is easy to use, doesn't require a lot of writing, and you can include affiliate links from many (not all) networks like ShareASale, Zazzle, Society6, and more.
I have a whole strategy where I use nothing but Pinterest to make affiliate sales (no website needed).
But combine it with a website and you now have a second source of free traffic beyond Google. For some sites/niches, Pinterest can actually send more traffic to your website than Google!
Yes, if you watch the Pin Inspector video it all sounds great but what I really wanted to know was....
How could you and I use it to make more sales and commissions?
Tools are great but only if they give us an advantage - save time, help us make more money, etc.
So, I've been playing around with this and I'm convinced it's worth the money (which is just a one-time payment and very reasonable with NO upsells).
Here's what you can do with it:
- Find trends in your niche with a simple search
- Find keywords - it actually has a built in keyword-generator what will research your niche phrases and spit out a list of keywords
- Get ideas for your board names
- Do a search like "diy [your niche]" to find the hottest DIY topics for post ideas for your own site
- Search by keyword to find the best pins for that keyword
- Import YOUR list of keywords to get Pinterest data for all of them (best performing pins, # of saves, # of comments and so much more)
- Browse & Scrape tool - you browse Pinterest (a search page, the home page, a category page) and as you browse the tool scrapes the data for every pin you see including promoted pins and shows you the data for each one
- Preview pins, boards, and profiles inside the app
- Get information about top pinners in your niche and then follow their followers to help you grow your own profile
The data is real-time - not stored somewhere so that it's out of date. You're given up-to-the-minute Pinterest information.
Don't miss the bonuses, either! On the same page as the download files for the app are TWELVE really helpful guides on using Pinterest.
For my Pinterest profiles where I'm including affiliate links I can now research which products are trending for my niche at this very moment and make sure to include links for similar products.
I can see which boards my competitors are adding to their profiles and consider doing the same.
I can research the hottest keywords for my niche and make sure I have boards and pins that mention those keywords.
For my Pinterest profiles that tie to one of my websites I can do keyword research on Pinterest and get ideas for new posts for my own site. I've definitely found post ideas I wouldn't have found elsewhere.
I can check out which promoted pins in my niche are getting the best results so I can use those promoted pins as templates for my own paid ad campaigns on Pinterest.
I can monitor my competition on Pinterest and keep an eye on their activity, the types of pins they're sharing now, which pins are getting traction and mirror their strategy.
Pin Inspector is a stand alone app that is compatible with MAC and Windows machines.
You have to download it and then run it as an app on your computer.
I did run into an issue with the download because of my McAfee installation. I had to turn it off, download the software again, run it and then turn McAfee back on. I've had to do the same with Market Samurai in the past so that didn't really surprise me.
I did contact Dave's support desk for assistance and received timely and helpful responses.
Since it's just a one-time payment, gives you a huge advantage on Pinterest, has NO upsells, runs fast, and is easy to use I think this is a must-have tool for those who are currently using Pinterest or those who plan on doing so in the future.
