Wait, what? Wrinkles?

Wednesday morning I'm launching a new course and it's about Adsense.

I've got a fun topic I'm eager to create a site around and it's perfect for Adsense so these two events go hand-in-hand.

And because this year has just been miserable all the way around for everyone I'm going low, low, low on the price.

Plus, I'm giving those who take this course a clone of the foundation of the site so you won't have to worry about choosing a theme and installing plugins one-by-one (and I'll be using a different WordPress theme than you've seen me use before - it's free and I'm in love!).

Now, some of you are already in my other course at the moment and I don't want to burden you so don't sign up if you think it will be a distraction!

So, about those wrinkles...

Don't laugh but while I was setting up the sign up page for the above new course I was following a sales page template that had a spot for a personal photo.

I have one from last year that I've been using on my website but when I put that photo in this spot in the template, well, it was the largest version I've ever seen of that particular image.

I'm used to seeing just a thumbnail version.

And because it was so huge you could see EVERY wrinkle on my face in amazing detail.

(Shhhh...yes, I have wrinkles. A fair number of them according to that darn picture!)

I'm not particularly vain but all I could think when I looked at that image at that size was that I'm starting to look a lot more like one of my grandmothers than I ever thought possible.

I'm on a new laptop and can't use the photo editor I had on my old one.

The editor that came with the new laptop didn't seem to have an easy way to retouch a portrait.

My go-to photo tool, Canva, doesn't have an easy way to retouch a portrait.

But I found a free tool that was easy to use and did a great job at removing those wrinkles.

Here's how I used it:

Click the Get Started button
Click the Open button in the toolbar at the top
Click on Computer and browse your computer to select the image you want to edit
If your computer doesn't load the image refresh the screen (you might see a different pop-up asking you to select your image again)
If you're asked to sign up at any point go ahead and do so but just keep the free account option
Once the photo is loaded click the Wrinkle Remover tool in the left sidebar
Now, when you put your cursor over any spot in the photo it turns into a circle with a plus sign in the middle - this is your "brush"
Brush over any wrinkles (or other blemishes) in the photo by clicking and dragging your cursor over the wrinkles - keep brushing over the area and the wrinkles will slowly fade
When you're done, click the Apply button in the left sidebar
Click the Export button in the toolbar at the top and save the image to your computer (I chose .png which also changed the setting below that to High Quality)

The free account limits the size of photos you can download but I was still able to get a 500px x 500px size.

Yeah, I had no idea when I went into internet marketing that I'd one day write an email about my wrinkles...

But if I found this useful maybe some of you might, too!
