I'm laughing so hard at the moment I can hardly type these words!

I was testing out
Speechdio - a new app that turns your text into realistic text-to-voice audio.

Would this be useful to me as an affiliate marketer?

The answer to that is YES but more on that in a bit...

Hubby was sitting next to me doing something else while I was typing out text, turning it into audio and then playing the generated audio.

He kept hearing my audios play but he didn't know that I was the one generating what was being said.

After hearing one of my test audios he said, "I wonder if she'll come clean the house for us, too."

I entered the following text into the app:  No, I will not come clean the house for you.

I then played the resulting audio which said those words out loud.

The look on my husband's face was PRICELESS!

He thought I must have been on a video call and someone had heard what he'd said and answered him. His eyes were enormous, his jaw had dropped, and he gave me this look as if he was sorry he'd interrupted a call I was on.

As for the app's claim that it creates realistic sounding audio, I'm going to say that hubby just validated that to be true! LOL!

But, let's put my internet marketer hat back on so I can explain whether or not this is something that you could use for your own affiliate marketing website.

Literally, you type out text and the app turns it into audio that sounds very natural.

Anything you create where you want someone to be talking (like videos) you could use this app.

This app does not create video - it only creates audio. That's important to keep in mind because for you to use it in creating videos you will still have to create a video.

That's easy enough, though. You can create a video with your cell phone or with a set of PowerPoint slides.

You'd then use Windows Movie Maker (or whatever app does the same thing on Mac devices) to delete the original audio from your video and replace it with the audio you create from this app.

The ability to do this - to create audio that sounds realistic and natural and says EXACTLY what you type out - is HUGE.

Many of us want to use video to build a YouTube channel, add videos to Instagram, create those cool video sales pages like everyone else, create videos that capture attention on our opt-in pages, add our own videos to a Facebook page, or to create how-to videos we can add to our posts.

But we don't want to use ourselves in the video. We don't want to put our own voice out there.

Maybe you don't like how your voice sounds or you umm and uhhh your way through a video every time you try to record one. (Been there, done that!)

This app means you don't need to use your voice!

It means all stuttering, hesitation, wrong words, umms, and uhhs are gone.

You just type out the words you want to say in any audio, pick one of the 100 available voices (male, female, specific accent), choose a background music track (if needed) and click the button to generate the audio.

The audio gets stored in your Google Drive account so that you can download it and use it with your videos.

There are many ways to use this to grow your business:
- Create perfect audio for how-to videos (no stuttering, hesitation, ums, uhs, or confusion)

- Create podcasts by just typing out what you want to say

- Create audio for a sales page video that sounds very professional without needing any special equipment

- Create audio for an opt-in page

- Create audio to go with a video you could share on YouTube, Facebook or Instagram

- Add actual speech audio to your slideshow product reviews on YouTube

It's so easy to use that I ran my tests without even watching the training videos.

However, the text input screen does have a number of options that further enhance the text to add emphasis to specific sentences or switch the voice to a different one (if you have the Pro version) so you do want to watch the training.

The basic version is pretty affordable.

There are a number of upsells, of course, but you don't need any of them to get started.

The upsells are for things like additional features (if you want unlimited length, if you want to add more than one voice to an audio track, if you want to use the service to create and sell audios for others then you'll want to pay attention to those items in the upsell pages).

One other thing to note is that if you buy the basic product it's really a one year membership then it sets up a recurring payment to charge you again in a year. Just a heads up.

The pro version charges you the Pro fee every 3 months but you get a lot more features.

If you buy, getting into the training material seems confusing. I did immediately receive my login information by email but when I logged in I landed on a profile screen with no instructions on what to do next.

It took me a bit to see there was a link under a box called ACTIVE RESOURCES. Click that link and you'll be taken to the training videos. The very first training video tells you then how to log into the app itself.
