How to MANAGE Your Way to Growth

At least every other summer my brother, his wife, and whichever of their daughters are free make their way from Pennsylvania to my home in Arizona and spend a week or two.

The pandemic threw a wrench in our plans this year but we kept an eye on the numbers and they were finally able to make their way here last week.

After months of not seeing anyone from my side of the family I can't explain how incredibly grateful I am at the moment to have this time with them.

Usually when they visit they're on a real vacation but this time they're still working during the weekdays and watching them work has been a fascinating look into their daily lives.

Everything they do is guided by one very specific goal and all of their decisions are made based on that goal.

Ultimately what they want is to be financially set so that they can retire early and comfortably.

While many of us have that goal in mind my brother and his wife proactively make choices that completely align with that goal.

They each have full time jobs while also running a side business and supporting three girls through college.

Every day is parceled into sections of time - one section for work, one section for their business, one section for household responsibilities and one section for family time.

They can't control what they have to do during their work time but they do control what happens in the time they have for their business, home, and family and they make joint decisions about how to use that time to get the most benefit towards their goal.

They are MANAGING their time rather than allowing time to manage them.

That is the foundation of my latest coaching course that starts at the end of this week.
