Free Clickthrough Tips, Call to Action Buttons for Squidoo & Review Sites

There's no other way to describe it - GREAT STUFF!
Increased Clickthroughs to Amazon
Making commissions through Amazon is a 3 step process.  You have to get traffic, the traffic has to clickthrough to Amazon, and then the people who clicked through have to buy while your cookie is still in place.

I'm always testing and tweaking my approach to drive better, stronger results in each of these three categories.  Today, I've got some tips to share on how to improve clickthroughs to Amazon.
FOR SQUIDAZON:

Squidazon is the Squidoo strategy I released a couple of weeks ago.  I've been experimenting with ways to improve the clickthrough rate to Amazon on a couple of my sets.  My goal is always to get 50% of my lens visitors to click on an Amazon link.  Some lenses beat that and others fall short but the average is close.

A couple of my Master Lenses had been hovering around 20% - too low for me.

This week, I did two things on those lenses - showed the link to Amazon earlier in the lens and also explained my link was to the "lowest priced listing" I could find on Amazon.  Many products have multiple listings on Amazon and they're often set at different prices because they're put up by different sellers.  This implies that the visitor may end up paying a higher price if they don't see which listing I found.

That additional statement/image in the first column of the Master Lens has resulted in my more than doubling the clickthrough rate on the test lenses.

You can see what the change looks like here (first column of the first table):  http://www.squidoo.com/best-toaster-ovens-under-100

It's nothing fancy - just a yellow background, some text about how there can be multiple product listings on Amazon and a button to the lowest priced listing.  By the way, I DO always check to see if there are multiple listings and I link to the lowest one every time.
FOR AMAZON REVIEW SITES:

You can use a strategy similar to what I mentioned above for Squidazon on your review sites.  Make it a link, a button, or a blockquote and explain that you made sure to find the lowest priced listing on Amazon.

In addition, I've finished putting the Azon Deal Alert plug-in on my demo site and am part way done installing it on one of my larger sites.

The demo site already saw two sales through the plug-in this week and I don't even work that site.  It's just a demo!

FYI - The Azon Deal Alert WSO closes tomorrow and then you can only buy the plug-in through Clickbank and the price goes up!  If you want this, buy it now.

Amazon Ebook with a UK Spin
Commission Triumph is a new ebook published by Barry Lumsden (BarryOnline on WF).  I have known Barry for nearly two years.  I've seen his sites, talked to him about strategy, and watched as he replaced his full time day job income with a set of just four Amazon review sites targeting the UK market.

I periodically get questions about how to promote Amazon's UK program.  It's not my area of expertise but it is Barry's.

I've read through his book and while it's modeled along the lines of Extreme Review in that you want to find a niche and create great content, all the steps are geared towards doing so with the UK market in mind and there are certainly some big differences.  It's very thorough, well researched, and I know his strategy works.

This mention is for all of my list members in the UK - just wanted you to know I DO realize there are other Amazon countries and programs outside of the US.  ;)
