Everybody loves examples.  When you're trying to do something new, seeing the end result first kind of helps the whole process gel in one's mind.  Much easier to work on a jigsaw puzzle when you've seen the finished photo.  (Of course, some people love a challenge!)

So, it's way past time that I share an example Extreme Review site with you.  The reason I haven't, until now, is that all of my sites make money that I use to pay my bills, feed my kids, and keep my mortgage paid.  Exposing my sites to other affiliate marketers is a risk to my family's well-being that I just wasn't willing to take.

However, I worked with an outsourcer to build a sample site that follows the strategy.  The only difference between this site and my other sites is that the writing was done by the outsourcer, the site is still fairly new, and the backlinking work has been minimal so this isn't a high ranking or high producing site.  It's just an example site so you can see some of the concepts in a live demo.

FINDING NICHES
If you're working on Squidoo Niche Blaster, I've got another few niche-finding tips for you (and these can help with Extreme Review, too).

Try putting the word "best" and a generic product adjective into that Keyword Optimizer Pro tool and doing a search.  For example, you could do "best handheld" or "best battery operated" or "best oversized".  You'll get so many niche ideas your spreadsheet will explode.  I've listed 100 new niche ideas I found using the "best handheld" phrase at the end of this email. Really, these are more than just niches - these ARE the keywords you'd use for a Master Lens.  

What I'd do next is to build a master lens using the phrase "best handheld (whatever)".  For the 3 categories, go to Google Suggest, type in your master lens phrase and add the word "for" to the search.  Category ideas will show up in the Suggest list.  If I were building a master lens called Best Handheld Vacuumm", I'd see categories for Stairs, Cars, and Cat Litter.  This "for" trick doesn't work with everything.  If you can't find good categories that way, go for price breakouts like "Under $100", "Under $200", and "Under $300" (whatever price bands make sense for your niche).

While these ideas are geared towards Squidoo Niche Blaster because they are more long-tailed in nature, those working on Extreme Review will still see tons of product ideas come up in the list and can use those ideas to do the product research outlined in the Extreme Review instructions.

 

The rest of this weekend I'll be busy adding to my own sites and putting together a new product on how to best tap into the holiday online shopping frenzy no matter what niche you might be promoting.  It's that time of year, you know!   Of course, I'll be squeezing in a little me time, too (which usually involves laundry, grocery shopping, and - if I'm lucky - some time with a great book!).
