Ever taken a road trip with your family? You decide on a location, you make a list of items to pack, you arrange for someone to take care of the family dog, gas up the car and then you can leave. This planning usually happens in advance of the actual trip by at least a few hours if not a few days.
If you want to build a profitable website of your own, you need to do a little planning just as if you were headed out on a road trip.
Instead of picking a location, your first step is to pick a niche. This is your target market, an area of focus...a topic for your site!
This is a huge milestone in your future success. It's also the one that - if done incorrectly - will set you up for failure no matter how good you are at writing or Wordpress or creative thinking.
